Class Policies

Before registering for a Hampton Village Community Association (HVCA) program, please read through this entire page.

  • All Hampton Village Community Association (HVCA) programs are subject to date/location changes and may be cancelled due to low enrollment.
  • If a program is full, you may ask to be put on a wait list, but please be aware that we cannot guarantee we will have any additional space available.
  • In the unfortunate event that a program is overbooked, priority will be given to those who registered first.
  • It is very important for the instructors to have birth date information so please ensure all participant birth dates are entered correctly.
  • Registrations are non-transferable and non-refundable unless a program is cancelled.
  • Programs can not be held on statutory holidays. School functions have priority over community programming rentals, therefore, not all missed classes can be made up.
  • Please ensure you add a cell phone contact if possible. We will use this to contact you for programming changes on short notice, otherwise emails are usually sent.
  • If a program has had more than 50% of the classes cancelled, participants will be refunded for the remainder of the classes. If the classes are more than 50% completed, we will not issue any refunds.
  • It is very important for the instructors to have birth date information so please ensure all participant birth dates are entered correctly.

Membership

  • A valid community association membership, from anywhere in Saskatoon, must be valid to register in any program (including FREE programs). Annual HVCA Memberships will be available for purchase at a cost of $10.00/per family/household.
  • MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

COVID Protocols for Spring Programs Effective: April – June, 2022

The Hampton Village Community Association (HVCA) wants to bring people together and keep people active – safely.
Since COVID spreads from an infected person to others through respiratory droplets and aerosols, there is no “single” precaution that will stop the spread of COVID when people get together for sports & recreation, but each step we take helps to minimize the spread. We appreciate your understanding & cooperation!
1) Masks are STRONGLY encouraged at all times, by everyone. On request, medical-grade masks can be provided.
2) Everyone must hand sanitize upon entering the facility.
3) Do not come to the program if you:
     a. have COVID,
     b. have COVID symptoms,
     c. have had close contact with a COVID positive (or COVID suspected) person, or
     d. are currently being tested for COVID and are awaiting results.
4) Whenever practical, stay 6 feet away from others.
5) After a program, if you develop COVID symptoms and/or are told that you were the close contact of a COVID positive person, you MUST let us know so that we can determine if there was a risk of transmission to other participants. Your confidentially will be respected.
6) Additional COVID precautions may be added to specific programs, based on risk.
7) Cards, Games & Coffee: this program requires participants to wear a mask at all times, unless eating or drinking.
8) Youth Soccer (U5, U7 & U9): this program is a partnership between the HVCA and Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. (SYSI). In addition to our COVID protocols, all SYSI COVID protocols for participants & parents must be followed; the Youth Soccer Coordinators will share this information with participants/parents.
9) NOTE: Our COVID protocols may change as the situation & rules change.
